A bit about me
I like to spend time with my family. I live by the coast, so for exercise I like to power walk with a couple of friends along the coastline, and we have completed the Moonwalk, the Shine and a number of local half marathons.
Experience
I am a Senior Consultant at Muse and a member of the Trustee Executive Services (TES) team. I have a strong working knowledge of DB, DC and hybrid pension arrangements. I have been an outsourced pensions manager and scheme secretary to trustee boards as well as various sub-committees (investment, administration, audit and risk, GMP). My experience also includes the closure of defined benefits schemes to future accrual, the transfer of members from one employer arrangement to another as part of a merger and acquisition deal and buy-in projects with one scheme progressing to buy-out. I am enthusiastic about pensions and have a ‘can-do’ attitude. My strength is that I can work closely with trustees and their advisers to promote good working relationships so that trustee boards are able to achieve their objectives. I am FPMI qualified and have worked in the pensions industry for over 25 years. Most of my experience has been gained working from in-house pension schemes although more recently I worked for a large pension consultancy offering governance and secretariat support to several clients of varying size (both in membership and assets under management).
