A bit about me

The majority of my spare time is spent meeting the demands of my senior rescue dog who enjoys taking me out for long walks (and sometimes accidental swims!) in the local nature reserve. I love travel and I was lucky enough to have lived in some fantastic places in my youth (including Nepal for a couple of years). I’m a self-confessed bargain hunter and you’ll find me shopping for Christmas presents in the January sales.

Experience

I joined Muse in 2023 and support on a range of client projects. I started my pensions career as an administrator for a large in-house scheme and subsequently moved to a third party administrator, overseeing the cradle to grave administration of a large, complex scheme. During this period, I led a number of benefit rectification exercises from start to implementation.

Prior to joining Muse, I worked in Isio’s Operational Excellence in Pensions team which focussed on assisting Trustees and/ or sponsors in improving their admin operations. My role was varied, and involved managing benefit audits, conducting admin reviews, carrying out due diligence exercises for both insurers and Trustees prior to transaction, progressing adviser selection reviews and consulting on rectification projects.
During this appointment I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to carry out one to one member pensions guidance sessions for an external client during a benefit change project. I also delivered seminars to NHS staff members relating to their benefits and what McCloud would mean to them, and prepared and distributed detailed pensions tax training to an external pensions provider.

Outside of my day job, I have previously been a volunteer for (what was) The Pensions Advisory Service and I participated in the PMI’s mentoring programme.
