Our Mission Statement

Muse Advisory helps trustees and companies to better govern and manage their pension schemes. Improved outcomes for members and sponsors are delivered through independent consulting and direct support.

Our integrity is defined through our people (with a mix of in-house, operational and consulting backgrounds), our independence, our working relationships with each other, our clients and the market, and our conversation of the impact on pension scheme members and sponsors. If we don't think work will deliver value, or could weaken our independence, we won't do it.

We're experienced and pragmatic, supporting clients with our unique insights to deliver the necessary change(s) and best solutions that help them achieve their strategic goals.

think independently...act effectively

Our Values

At the core of our business is respect, for each other and for all whom we work with. We respect the personal lives and goals of others, so they can flourish in all parts of their life including work. We consider each other’s well-being just as much as we ensure we deliver high quality advice to our clients.

Our way of working means we aim to have a low environmental impact. We aspire to travel less, work ethically, and to use energy and other resources efficiently.

In everything we do, whether with clients, associates, staff or wider society and the environment, we aim to work to the following principles:

  1. To ensure that Muse is a dependable and reliable business with an extraordinary focus on the quality of service.
  2. We value honesty and transparency over and above all temporary and commercial interests.
  3. We challenge each other to drive quality and to recognise any errors early. We work with an understanding that we can always improve.
  4. Our deliverables are well defined and we always aim to provide excellent value for money. If a piece of work will not deliver value for money, we should not be doing it.
  5. We believe we are mature enough to know that placing our responsibilities to our clients, to each other, and to society, before profit, is a better way of doing things.
  6. We would never knowingly engage with any suppliers, clients or third parties that would cause us to compromise our values of respect and ethical trading.
  7. We have no preconceived ideas as to the optimal outcome for a client. This means we can genuinely encourage creativity and deliver best fit solutions. In turn this makes our work more rewarding and helps our clients stay at the leading edge of pensions.
  8. Each of the team has specific areas of expertise, all opinions are valued.
  9. Our approach is to be friendly but professional and independent.
  10. Our mental and physical well-being is important and we should build in time to maintain them.
