We recently held a roundtable with a small group of pensions leaders with a mix of trustee and corporate roles, with the discussion focusing on run-on, surplus and buy-out. This article provides a summary of challenges and opportunities in a pensions landscape that continues to evolve. Although the Pension Schemes Bill provides a little more clarity for companies and schemes on some of the challenges discussed at the roundtable, many of the observations remain pertinent.
