A bit about me
Most of my spare time is spent outdoors or in the water. Swimming is the main one: I came back to it about five years ago and it has become the way I stay fit, organised and mentally resilient. I usually travel to see a specialist coach on my days off and in 2026 I completed the two-mile Great North Swim, raising more than £500 for CALM. I also go for walks, work out at the gym and both run and volunteer at my local Parkrun. The bake sales I put on there for CALM were a good reminder that I enjoy the organising as much as the running. Earlier this year a trip to Tuscany added a quieter habit to the list: I discovered a real love of espresso and I have been trying to recreate that first proper cup ever since. When I am indoors, I follow Formula 1/ IndyCar and American football. I also listen to a wide range of music.
Experience
I am a Pension Analyst at Muse, supporting our outsourced pensions management and client delivery work. That includes helping with day-to-day scheme management for a number of large clients, assisting with invoicing and handling communications with trustees, members and advisers.
Before joining Muse, I spent over two years as a pensions administrator at WTW, working on Defined Benefit schemes that also included Defined Contribution elements. I dealt with member records, transfers, retirements, bereavement cases and benefit calculations. During my time there I was a regular point of contact for trustees, financial advisers and members.
A large part of that role was preparing trustee referral packs on complex retirement and death benefit cases. The packs needed to be complete, clearly written and consistent with the scheme rules, the relevant legislation and the technical standards the trustees expected. I take that standard of accuracy seriously and I enjoy turning detailed case material into correspondence people can actually use.
I am organised under pressure. I am used to high volumes, tight deadlines and keeping several clients moving at once and I would rather get a piece of work right first time than send it out and correct it later.
